  • To prepare to successcully pass the PSC SLE TOP. The PSC SLE TOP is a standardized exam consisting of four distinct parts.
  • In order to receive a level B or C in oral proficiency, the candidate must demonstrate certain linguistic competencies to the assessor during the assessment.

  • A comprehensive examination in order to ascertain the strengths and weaknesses of the student's linguistic ability.
  • A work plan to ensure the student learns and is able to apply the various English/French forms which are required for either a level B or C linguistic profile.

  • To prepare to successcully pass the PSC SLE TWE. The PSC SLE TWE is a standardized test consisting of 65 multiple choice questions which takes 1.5 hours to complete.
  • To learn and aquire certain essential grammatical sturctures and certain business-related writing expressions.
How
  • A comprehensive examination in order to ascertain the strengths and weaknesses of the student's linguistic ability.
  • A work plan to ensure the student learns the English/French required for either the level B or C linguistic profile.
  • Practice tests administered under similar test conditions.

  • One full Test of Oral Proficiency Simulation that mirrors the 4 parts of the PSC SLE TOP with an expereinced trainer.
  • One full Oral Assessment Report that indicates the student's strengths and weaknesses as they relate to the actual PSC SLE TOP.

  •  Please note that the Test of Oral Proficiency Simulation is a simulation and the final score (A, B, or C) is not an official score of the Public Service Commission.

  • To learn about the various test questions i.e.Choose a word or phrase which best completes the text, or choose the best answer from four options.

  • An assessment to determine the student’s level of proficiency in reading.
  • Extensive practice with the various test questions i.e. main idea, specific details, inference.
